A lifelong concertgoer, Shirley M. Ruwitch loved classical music,her family and friends. She also had an avid interest in localhistory and preservation efforts.
Mrs. Ruwitch died Wednesday at 74. The 51-year resident ofNorthbrook was the widow of Robert S. Ruwitch, former vice presidentof Continental Bank. She had remained involved in cultural affairsas a governing member of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and asustaining member of the Ravinia Women's Board.
She also was a director of the Northbrook Historical Society.
