The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) will come out with the spectrum policy recommendations within a couple of days.
Before 3G services are ready to be launched in India, there is a need for a comprehensive policy on spectrum allocation to enable cellular firms in setting up networks that support the high-speed connectivity. 3G services enable streaming of high quality video and download of heavy files at high speeds on mobile phones.
