Voters approved the 1987 Shenendehowa Public Library budget of $364,840 in a 350 to 62 vote Thursday raising taxes by 2 cents to 35 cents per $1,000 of assessed value.
About 64 percent of the budget, $236,235, will be raised in Clifton Park by an ad valorem levy. The remaining portion of the budget will be supplied by the Town of Halfmoon, which is not part of the library tax district.
Voters also elected Patrica A. Cavanaugh, of 48 Southbury Road, and Barbara Gaffney, of 4 Guadalupe Pass, to 5-year terms on the library board of trustees. Both …
