Trolley dollies object to BA rule

BRITISH AIRWAYS shareholders were confronted with four differentsets of demonstrators outside the venue of the airline's annualmeeting.

Members of Heathrow anti-noise group Hacan ClearSkies, chanting"no night flights", donned "screaming" face-masks and carriedplacards.

They were joined outside the Grosvenor House hotel in Park Lane,in London's West End yesterday, by protesters from the airline pilotsunion Balpa and demonstrators from the transpor t union TSSA.

Later, there was a four th demonstration by stewardessesprotesting about BA's rule that they must retire at 55. Carryingtheir own banners were stewardesses Myra Kendall, above right, whohas just retired at the age of 55 and Maria Williams, left, 54, whoretires next year.
